Food is a fuel for our body.. PERIOD!!

My Dr. told me this years ago:  We all must stop thinking of food as a comfort or pleasure.  Food is a fuel for our body that keeps us full of energy and health PERIOD!!.  We must make healthy choices that will keep our bodies strong and full of vitality. We must not waste our daily intake of "fuel" on useless calories that have no nutritional value and can "gunk up our engine" LOL
We can find pleasure and comfort in other activities.
I like:  crafting, reading, gardening, biking, long walks, camping, bowling, blogging and spending quality time with my family and friends.  The possibilties are endless and don't have to include food!

What are some activities that you can turn to when you are not hungry but the food is calling?

Quote for the day:
"The groundwork of all happiness is health."

  1. Video games are a great way for me to keep busy without eating. I know they are sedentary but they keep my hands busy so I can't eat. :o)

  2. What do you have for a game console? We have an XBox 360 and got the Kinect for it this Christmas. It is awesome. Great way to play games and still be very active. It gets me sweating every time and boy the time flies when you are doing it. The day after we had played it I was sore in areas that haven't been sore it years. It really is a blast!!!
I recommend it...and no I don't have stock in it. Tee hee hee

  3. Kathy, my husband and I love playing the Wii, and especially the bowling game for one of our exercise programs lately.. We usually play 6 games per evening, and really enjoy! It's been too cold here for us to get out and do any real walking of any sorts, so this really helps us out a bunch..

Have a great day and weekend too!

    Blessings,
    ~Lynn
